Gibraltar Rhythmic Gymnastics Association

Reach for the stars

We are very proud that Gibraltar’s Georgina Cassar is part of the Great Britain Rhythmic Gymnastics team, working towards qualifying to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games hosted by London. 

 

The girls who make up the squad are all training in Bath with the squad coach Sarah Moon.  They have all made a great sacrifices, putting all other school, university and career choices on hold so that they can focus on achieving this goal.

 

The British Olympic Association set a number of qualification requirements that the team need to meet in order to qualify for the “wild card” available to them as the host nation.  Recently the team performed at the British Group Nationals competition in Cardiff, and the marks that they received qualified them to attend the Olympic Test event to be held in the O2 Arena in London in January 2012.
